Privacy Policy

Payday is built so your income data stays yours. The short version: your tips, hours, sales, and schedule live on your iPhone. There is no account to create and no Payday server storing your records.

What Payday stores, and where

Everything you log — tip amounts, cash/credit split, hours, tip-outs, sales, notes, shift dates, and your pay schedule — is stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud, that data syncs privately through your own iCloud account, which only you can access. Payday has no ability to read it.

Optional AI features

The optional Insights feature can generate written summaries of your tip patterns. When you use it, Payday sends only the already-computed totals it needs to write that summary — figures like "you averaged $94 per shift" or "Fridays average $52 more than Mondays." It never sends your individual entries, notes, or any identifying information. These figures are processed by OpenAI solely to produce the summary text and are not used to identify you.

When you choose Scan receipt, Payday first reads the image with Apple Vision on your device. It then sends a compressed copy of the receipt and the recognized text through Payday's server to OpenAI solely to extract the shift fields shown for your review. Payday's server code does not save the receipt image or recognized text.

If you do not use Insights or Scan receipt, Payday does not send your income data or receipt images to its AI service.

What Payday does not do

No accounts. No advertising. No analytics or tracking SDKs. No selling or sharing of your data with anyone. Payday does not know who you are.

Deleting your data

Because your data is on your device, deleting the app removes it. If you use iCloud sync, you can also remove Payday's data from iCloud in your device settings.
